JohnPhiloJohn Philo is the Legal Director of the Maurice & Jane Sugar Law Center for Economic & Social Justice and Of Counsel to the law firm of Constitutional Litigation Associates.
He has consulted on and litigated cases throughout Michigan and the United States representing workers and injured persons. He has actively served as a pro bono attorney consulting with and representing individuals and community groups seeking to hold governments and corporations accountable for violations of the fundamental rights of working people. Mr. Philo has testified before the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee regarding the rights of displaced workers and is a past president of the Michigan & Detroit Chapter of the National Lawyers Guild.
